I'm glad you mentioned Leif Jones' Blood & Kisses. That book is a Master Class in how comics should be done. Well worth checking out. I consider Leif one of our current Modern Masters. Secularly, however, he seems to be more of an Artist's Artist. Unfortunate in that he ought to have an abundance of work but seems to be lost in Editors rolodexes. His most recent work has been covers for Valiant Comics. He occasionally sells originals on Ebay.

Hello all---when last I spoke with John, he explained that this is a fully digital work, using page 29 of the graphic novel as a reference point. The only element(s) not new to the piece are the filament bulbs, which were photoshopped in from page 29. Everything else is entirely new composition which became the cover to the promotional poster, hardcover, and softcover.

hi, will! i have been a fan of randy's since i first saw his work on hunter's heart...his level of detail is amazing. i count myself fortunate to be the custodian of this & the color piece. i am grateful that randy was willing to part with them both. i have yet to scan & post the color piece, though...the effect on it is amazing-he used acrylic, collage, & photo-collage. i love the way the buildings shimmer gold against his masterful use of color on the piece. i consider hunter's heart his magnum opus---his passion for it shows! (now if somebody could see their way to re-issue it, i'm certain it would find a wider audience!)
