Interesting collection you have. I saw this and wondered whether you've reached out to Britcomicsart you rep Buckingham. You never know.
I love it. One of the best I've seen. He charged more for Snake-Eyes apparently. More ink? Fed up with drawing him? Dunno
I'm very happy. It wasn't my commission but it may as well have been
I can't be envious as owning this is beyond any possiblity for me. So congratulations. I bought LotDK at the time when I was 17 or so.I copied this line for line while on a holiday with my family and ended up rendering in gold and silver marker as I happened to have those with me.
While it's a nod to Miller/Janson, I think it's also the best Batman he's ever done. I love Williams's inks but there's a stiffness to it all that takes me out the work mostly.
So glad to have it in the Artiface Edition.
Congrats again.
I love it too. Wondering quite how to get it framed. I've requested the final coloured and black and white art (albeit digital) to try to come up with something.
According to the original commissioner, this was the first Snake-Eyes Silvestri did and I've not seen more (but I'd like to. I searched and it brings up a lot of Rob art). But yes, a great fit and such an iconic character.
Blimey. What a piece. Well done you! While it was all there in the pencils, you absolutely win with the inks.
The figures in the windows. So good. This is a pretty apex example of Mignola. Enjoy (I know you will)
Agreed. And the blood on the blades. I'm very happy. His strip in Grendel B,W,R was a different take which was also pretty.
What a total banger. The first original I've seen from 300. I assumed they were painted on by Varley so this is a revelation.
It was that Miller vibe that made me pull the trigger. I'm never gonna be able to afford a Miller so...
I find some panelled pages to be so cohesive they feel like a splash. My McMahon Hellboy page is similar in that it has many panels but feels like almost one moment in time
Couldn't agree more. I always felt I could see this mini as a Steven Soderbergh movie.
Hi Al,
What piece was that? (Don't know why I didn't ask earlier :))
I'm intrigued now!
Ben Sear is never not padded. Glad you like it! Would love to see a book in this style.
This isn't Sean Phillips. The credits in the comic are wrong. This is Rebecca Guay, another Vertigo artist and Magic the gathering artist. If you have the comic, it's clear as day that the following page is Phillips.
Wow. Huge fan of your work and this strip in particular. I miss your pencils, inksn, and colours in comics.
Hey there. It took a couple of years.
It got mixed up in COVID times plus the super tight pencils got dinged so he started again. He redrew that super tight drawing and as soon as he started inking realised it was super static and the thrill had gone. So he sent me another comp which was eventually this. The drawings great but he must have been fed up with it and my little attempted diplomatic pokes for updates.
long and short, it's not normally this long I think. I have a friend in the queue too. Might be worth a gentle poke for a timeline.
In case you think I'm losing my mind: https://comicsalliance.com/marvel-comics-christmas-ads-80s/
Amazing. Needs that Santa sack!
Have you seen the Davis Thanos Trilogy books? I think he spent the last 20 years working through a hit list of characters and the Marvel Cosmic was almost the last of it. With JLA Nail, FF Year One, Conan, Hulk (and Adams era X-Men). I think he just hadn't gotten around to the Starlinverse.

Are we allowed to swear? I'll assume not. But that is SOMETHING
A practically perfect Surfer. Difficult character to do something new with. This is closest to JR/AW I suppose, but really nice!!
I've got three McMahon pieces now and two came with pencils seperate. Insane level of detail for something he's inking himself
Cheers, Marcus. I'm with you. Variety has ceased to be the spice of life. McMahon's vision is ever so slightly bonkers. I'm very happy.
Really nice to see. I do have the print (I don't actually remember how) but was surprised to come across this original. Lucky you :)
Really nice. Jock is really good but a piece like this intended for B&W elevates it further.
Thanks good analysis. The use of pencil for a grubby future. The lack of pencil on the visor to make it pop as transparent is great too.
Thanks. I'm very pleased. It's about US Letter/A4 sized but it is great.
It's a lovely page. Means a lot knowing what's coming on the next page but I kind of wish I had both. It's a great page turn
Totally overlooked as a story. Never collected, a real shame.
Thanks, Michael. Jonathan Is a really brilliant cartoonist and it occasionally tips into caricature. Will update me post with more info about him.
Hey. Thanks Marcus. It's exactly what I asked Jonathan for. I didn't get to see prelims or anything; there was an element of a leap of faith. I'm going to update the details with more info about Jonathan and the piece.
GREAT page to have. I love it. It's maybe my most memorable moment from a memorable story.
I have the two pages before yours! This run was brilliant. Should be much more widely known.
Love your Human Target pages. True whole sequence with two chances chasing the assassin is great.
Your Flinch cover would be a grail for me. This page was a combination of luck and taste.
What a tremendous piece. You have some of the most reasonant Mignola pieces. For some reason I can't leave a comment on the zombie with an axe but that's a stunner.
It's who know Joe. Ridiculous how many of these came through you
