DescriptionLon Chaney is a legend of film making and acting. Dubbed "The Man of a Thousand Faces", each of Chaney's roles seemed incredibly different from the last. That was true in his portrayal and in the look he gave the character. Chaney was famous for doing all his own makeup and for creating the looks we all remember on screen. This is a piece that I have been talking to Tony about doing for years. He has a deep and abiding love for old Hollywood, Horror Films, and for Chaney himself. This was his idea for a Trophy Wall, it was a labor of love for him and it shows. His busy schedule never gave him time to do in depth commissions until late this summer when he gave me a call and we talked it over and BOOM! here it is. Lovingly finished in pencil, inks and ink wash Tony REALLY took this thing to another level. We have Lon sitting in the center holding his famous makeup kit in front of him and surrounded by his famous characters from: London After Midnight, The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mr. Wu, Gaspard, Sergei, The Ape Man, and more. This is one of the most detailed and striking Trophy Wall pieces I have had done to date. Tony really outdid himself and I can't thank him enough. Tony may be taking on a few more commissions. When you first showed me the piece without the ink wash, my thought was that it looked fine that way. It looks better with the ink wash. This jumps into the top 5 of your commissions.

A fitting tribute to Mr. Chaney - and to Tony. Words fail me - he has captured every nuance so perfectly. This may even be #1 on your trophy wall! Thank you for sharing this amazing piece of art.

That's Lon Chaney? I never did see what he looks like out of makeup. At first, I thought that was YOU trying to look as demented as possible. Silly me. That's a real masterpiece among your countless wonderful trophy walls. Just amazing.

There is nothing I can say that wasn't already said before me. I just love looking at this piece- so much detail, love the 'trophy' theme with Lon Chaney- really spectacular in every sense of the word. :)

This may be my new favorite in your gallery -- which I think is saying something. Plus, I think it is one of the best movie-related commissions on CAF.

Slackjawed! I had no idea Harris did such wonderful classic monster themes. This piece has to be one of my top five favorite monster picks on the board. W-O-W!
