I have tried for a long time now to upload this piece into my gallery... With absolutely no luck! Until today. I'm not quite sure why my computer and camera decided tp cooperate today, but after weeks and weeks of trying, I had given up!
This piece was done for Matthew and was his brainchild mash-up of the cover to Spider-man #1 and The Creature From The Black Lagoon. Replacing the webs and spiders with various vines, roots, lizards, snakes, bugs, etc. I thought it was a good idea and very imaginative. I've done this cover numerous times with various characters, but this one was something else. I had fun with it.
Lastly... I had a post it attached to this piece that I had forgotten about. If you look closely, you will see that every little scale and bump on him is an individual circle. I remember starting to count how many I drew just so I'd know how crazy I am for drawing so many darn circles. I can say that this note reminded me that "I stopped counting at 2,000, and that isn't even halfway there". I'd say that there is anywhere between 8,000 and 10,000 in all. That's a lot of scales and circles!
