DescriptionSo, here it is. One of the more spectacular splash pages in ROM's entire publishing history, notable perhaps for being a rare 'hero' splash rather than a 'danger' splash, which Bill Mantlo was more likely to employ in his storytelling. Five splash pages in this book, this makes two accounted for!I've known the location of this page for years, and it was only this past month I was able to swing a deal to acquire it. Thanks to The Mayor for agreeing to deal, and the chance to meet! T'was a pleasure! The price for this one was steep, but if I was serious about actually assembling the book, would have had to be paid sooner or later, one way or the other. Happy the deal is done, with both sides so satisfied! A gallery of pages from this issue that I'm still on the lookout for is FOUND HERE: Social/Sharing |

Incredible! Akin and Garvey's inks on this page are killer. Great ROM image. A stunner. This splash looks like a cover. Well done in your quest. Big congrats!

This, by far, has to be the most absolute perfect ROM page I have ever seen.

Another one!! I'll sure say you know how to pick 'em. The bigger and splashier the better I always say. Don't get me wrong a great sequential art panel is the core of the medium, but these are the ones that go the best on a wall, to be devoured as pure sweet sugary eye candy!!
