Description100% grail page! I've been hoping to snag a Dredd page by Steve Dillon for some time now, and I've now got this beauty in my collection. Very happy indeed.Classic vintage art from Steve, and from a very fondly remembered tale to boot. This was the first Dredd tale drawn by Steve to appear in the weekly prog, though he had drawn a Dredd story for a special the previous year. EDIT: It was with great shock to learn of Steve's passing yesterday (22/10/16) and that gave me chance to pause and reflect on his career, and just how much I loved his art. To me, he seemed to arrive like a bolt from the blue, and I was an instant fan. And looking back, he would only have been around 19 years of age, when he drew this Dredd tale (and he had been professional for a couple of years before that!) Amazing to think of someone so young, with so much immense talent. I'm much more familiar with the work he produced for 2000ad, than I am with the work he did outside of that comic, but I've seen enough to know I'm missing out big time. Time to try to track these down. But he produced classic art for classic 2000ad stories during it's first golden period, and for that he will always be a 100% 2000ad legend. RIP, Steve Dillon.
