Gear by Cory Smith

Gear aka I.Z.O.R. is a very cool-looking member of the Legion of Super-Heroes who I wish was featured in more stories. He is a being of organic machinery, and can morph into all kinds of things. I always thought that artists could have all kinds of fun with him visually, as his potential morphing forms are almost limitless. So when I sent Cory Smith a list of Legionnaires to choose from for a commission, I was pretty thrilled when he chose Gear. And man oh man did he draw one awesome-looking take on the character! Gear has techno-bits coming out everywhere here as he interacts with some floating robotic thing. I LOVE how Cory drew his arms and upper body expanding, and I also really dig that thing he's riding on and how his name is at the bottom. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Cory is one of the most talented artists around, and everyone should get some of his art for themselves! Thanks, Cory, for another incredible commission!

You totally should. Cory is pretty awesome. His recent work on Magnus: Robot Fighter and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was pretty fabulous.

I really enjoy Cory's work on Magnus. This is spectacular. He is coming to town in May, I may have to set something up!
