Description

Wouldn't we all loved to have seen this book on the shelves! Dave Stevens contributed some striking Pulp images in his too short lifetime. He also created a character who could stand shoulder to shoulder with the iconic Pulp icons of yesteryear. I approached artist Gary Martin about creating a tribute cover in honor of Dave's Pulp contributions. The tribute would feature some of my favorite Stevens Pulp images. I provided a rough layout for my imaginary book. It would be styled like a classic Pulp Magazine cover from the Golden Age. Gary took the idea and ran with it. When I received the finished piece, it was a dream come true. Gary captures the wonderful essence of Dave's style in a way that others cannot. I'm truly thrilled to own this piece. Thanks Gary!

Thanks Conny. I agree, Gary's inks are breathtaking. He really captures he essence of the Stevens sense of wonder. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece. Your Martin Rocketeer/Betty is equally beautiful.
