DescriptionI'm a big fan of supernatural DC. Ever since dipping my toes into the murky swamps in the pages of Swamp Thing, the dark corner of the DC universe has always been my favorite to explore. Since I started collecting OA; reading comics itself had taken a huge back seat to the point it would be years in between reading runs. There are times though that I hear good things about a new book and would peak my interest enough to buy comics again. JLD by James Tynion IV was one of those books and I am happy that this book was on my radar as it is a fantastic read and makes great callbacks to DC supernatural of the past. The icing on the cake was that this run had a fantastic art team that I was not aware of until recently. Nothing better than finding great new art. Also this would be my first double page spread after collecting for about a decade, so I'm ecstatic about finally acquiring one. This page features Swampy, John Constantine, a new villain the Upside Down Man and a fantastic splash of Wonder Woman, and Zatanna! Cheers!Social/Sharing |
