DescriptionSpent years trying to find an affordable original page from HERBIE -- finally got a good deal on this one from Scott Eder in an eBay auction, probably because Herbie is off-panel on this one. It's still a pure Ogden Whitney page, with an absurd premise (Herbie has a wooden, weirdly anthropomorphic spaceship powered by wildlife), and Whitney's oddball aesthetic (the animals are drawn in a relatively realistic manner, contrasted with the cartoony rocket-face and their actions). A real treasure of my collection!Social/Sharing |

This is such a great page! Herbie is one of the under-appreciated gems of comics.
