Description

This is an illustration commissioned by La Nona Arte meant to celebrate the 30 years of Dylan Dog (first published in 1986).

Gianluca Cestaro, working in Bonelli together with his twin brother Raul since 1996, designed this piece drawing Dylan with his clarinet, maybe playing Giuseppe Tartini's "Il Trillo del Diavolo" (something he does oftentimes), from which we see coming out the silhouette of Death that contains many disturbing protagonists of the most important stories of the series so far.
Near the paranormal investigator, he chose to place some of the freaks that touched Dylan's life.

I first saw the finished piece in Lucca Comics & Games 2016 and found it stunning. There's so much stuff, so many memories in only one piece. Gianluca did a fantastic work.

Congrats on this amazing illustration, beautifully composed and even better inked! The style reminds me of Carnevale with a little bit of Wrightson, that adds the right grotesque-disturbing feel to the piece.

In my opinion Cestaro is one of better artists that worked on DDog series. This illustration is spectacular
