Description

"Orfani" (Orphans) is a comic book series created by Roberto Recchioni and Emiliano Mammucari and published in Italy every month by Sergio Bonelli Editore starting in October 2013.
It's a Sci-Fi story about a war between human people and aggressive aliens, and an elite military force created to fight it: a group of orphan kids severely trained/enhanced to become the most lethal weapon ever.

Split into "seasons" (story arcs of a maximum of 12 issues), characters "change" (well, it seems they tend to die) as the story unfolds.

This is an "Orfani" illustration realized for Lucca Comics & Games 2015, on the occasion of the launch of season 3, "Orfani: Nuovo Mondo" (Orphans: New World), and features the very protagonist of the season, (a pregnant) Rosa (introduced in Season 2) fighting a terrifying creature of the new world.
Pencil and Inks by Emiliano Mammucari, one of the very best artists of his generation, elegant and powerful at the same time.
