DescriptionI just love Brubaker and Phillips's Criminal series (stop me if you've heard this before) and Teeg is my favorite character in the Criminal universe. Here he is as an aging tough guy picking a losing fight at a wake for his deceased friend, followed by him urinating on his late pal's grave. Not what Ann Landers would recommend, but it makes for good crime stories. Love the fact that this is one of the few issues with full sized, fully inked physical pages. He even signed it. Thanks for taking a look!Social/Sharing |

The more brutal and visceral, the better. You need stuff like this to set the tone on what we can expect. Definitely a page-turner of a page!

Yup, not exactly what's called "honor the memory". Violent and unpleasant page, so quite suited for a crime story as you say :)

Nice uppercut! I like the depth he created with the layering of black and white in the bottom panel.

Full lettering a huge plus, especially for BruPhil stories

Yes, another benefit of pages from this (part of) this series! I often prefer pages without lettering, believe it or not, if the art looks better that way, but for writers like Brubaker it's fun to read the dialog and captions on the OA.

Well, that's one way to honor a fiend. Some people get flowers, and some people get into a bar fight and pee on graves under the moonlight. Different strokes! This is a fantastically gritty Phillips and Brubaker page. I dig it. Congrats!

Well guess it's better than the alternative, to pee on his friend when he was still alive.

Nice Pick up Love those Lawless storylines. They are so disfunctional. Great page.

The Movement and Action of the page is an Example of Pitch Perfect Composition!!!
