DescriptionProduced in 1992 and published in 1993 for the United States First Day Cover Society.Probian Rendezvous Craft Fighting Forces from alien worlds Ultimate weapons for formidable enemies. Because of the sci-Fi aspect of this painting, it falls into my collecting interest. However the primary reason for buying this was because of the stamp collection connection. My dad was an avid stamp collector and in my younger days, I shared the hobby with him. Later on I would find interesting stamps for him. My dad was also interested in art and was a decent illustrator. He did posters for some local businesses but it was more of a hobby for him. I had it framed with the First Day Cover and it's something I can look every day in remembrance of my dad. And appropriately, I post this on Father's Day. Social/Sharing |

Father of mine
Calle where have you been
You know I just chose sci-fi
My whole world disappeared
Father of mine
Take a stamp to the frame
When I was still just overjoyed
Stamps before you illustrate
I remember the bluelines, working on art
I loved it when you held the line
I loved to hear you talk
You would take me to the hobbies
You would paint me at the beach
Paint me to a space inside that is so hard to reach

Nice memory piece/reflection on the connection between the painting, stamp collecting, and your father. And the painting is pretty great!

Great sci fi piece, that top down view of the cockpit from the external camera viewpoint looks so cool. Even better that it brings you memories of your father, nice share for today Miki

It looks like a bomb being internally piloted than a spaceship! Cool piece with a great set of memories that connect you to your dad.
