DescriptionOkay, no surprise that I would absolutely love this cover image, as it features SO MANY CHARACTERS!! Man, I love that Scarlet Witch costume.I'm a big fan of Mark Brooks, though here he seems to be channeling Bryan Hitch, who was the artist for the regular Ultimates title. But hey, I like the Hitch Man too. Oh, and this cover was drawn on an over-sized board, which is fun. I miss the Ultimate Universe. It just seemed a lot simpler and less cluttered, at least in the beginning. Every once in a while I pick up a trade from that bygone era and enjoying reading it. Anyway, thanks for looking! I must say, it feels really nice to see a Brooks cover in pen and ink. When he first began doing color pieces, I thought they were really nice, because they were different from his norm I guess. But over time, although they're always really well done, I think I just got tired of seeing the colors, as I've always been much more interested in black and white art than in color art.
This cover offers you the requisite Paul P. amount of characters per square inch, so you know it's a winner!

At this point, you're just hoarding all the epic art out there! Man, I really dig this cover! I had mixed feelings about the Ultimates as a whole (tho I loved Ultimate Spidey), but the artwork was always top notch!

This cover represents an entire era of comics that not only shaped these characters for the 21st Century but also the way they were viewed in all other media. What a beauty. Congrats!

Brooks is known mostly for his more realistic painted color stuff, and rightly so, but he's NO slouch when it comes to the good ol' pen and ink! I like the more traditional comic art look of this piece, and those are some clean inks. And LOTSA characters given the treatment :) Congrats!

There's still some more space up top. Pile in, guys! This is most certainly a Paul P cover. All those great characters! Really nice and clean work from Brooks, too. I especially like the pose on Widow, and her attitude with that gun. Great score. Congrats!
