Master of Kung Fu aficionados will appreciate this page, as it features the unforgettable introduction of Shang-Chi's love interest, Leiko Wu, in her first appearance issue from the story "Wicked Messenger of Madness"! And what an introduction - Paul Gulacy creates a sumptuous setting for the elegant lady's bath as Clive Reston cameos.

Writer Doug Moench and penciller Paul Gulacy distinguished themselves on the Master of Kung Fu title, making it a true Bronze Age classic. There was a melancholic quality to their stories, which were told with a seamless blending of art and narration, highlighted by Paul Gulacy's cinematic pages.

Sold from the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini in 2005. Richard said: "Here's another example of artwork that I purchased simply because it showed off the teamwork of Gulacy and Adkins to a "T." Well, that's not strictly speaking the entire truth; the page does feature sexy Leiko Wu - and in my eyes the detail of her ribs was both subtle and erotic!".

That middle panel is gorgeous--and I'm going to assume that, given how precise Gulacy is as an artist, every one of those dripping beads of water is strategically placed.
