<p>I started reading and collecting comic books in 1983, bought my first piece of original comic book art ("OA") in 2002 and original illustration art in 2003. My OA interests are broad-reaching; I have collected everything from Krazy Kat strips from the 1910s to brand new comic art from the 2020s, though my sweet spot in terms of nostalgia and appreciation is squarely the 1970s and 1980s, especially the Uncanny X-Men (#94-#213), Daredevil (#158-#233) and Conan/Red Sonja (pre-1986 only), as well as pretty much anything and everything memorable (Marvel, DC and independent) from the early-to-mid 1980s timeframe in particular including, but not limited to, Wolfman/Perez-era New Teen Titans; Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run and V for Vendetta; Block Mania/Apocalypse War Judge Dredd; John Bolton-drawn Classic X-Men backup stories; New Mutants #1-31; Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters #1-6; The Adventurers; early Jon Sable, Freelance; '80s-era Transformers, G.I. Joe and Robotech; and much more!
