Description

Pure poetry.

This summarizes what I feel each time I see this piece by Stefano Turconi.

I longed for a Disney piece by Stefano for a long (long) time and just a few months ago he told me he should have been able to do it. I chose the subject and (im)patiently waited until Lucca Comics & Games at the end of October, where I would have met Stefano.
When he showed me the piece, oh boy!, I was overwhelmed with joy.
I couldn't believe my own eyes.

About the theme.
Earlier this year, on Topolino magazine (issues #3094-3096) it was published a parody of R.L. Stevenson's "Treasure Island" realized by Teresa Radice (plot and dialogues) and Stefano Turconi (art). The classic adventure novel reinterpreted, with Mickey Mouse as Jim Hawkins, Peg-Leg Pete as Long John Silver, Goofy as Ben Gunn and so on.
A magnificent adaptation, very faithful and emotional where Turconi's art really shines with a fantastic characterization of each and every character, the detailed environments and the amazing dynamism that makes you think the characters are almost moving on the page.
