DescriptionI picked this piece up from fellow CAFer Alex Kremper a couple of years ago. You'll see from my gallery I'm a big Thundercats fan having grown up on the cartoon (by far, best intro ever!) and collecting the original Marvel/Star series. This cover accompanied by the Wizard preview served as a promo for the new limited series published by Wildstorm. I wasn't collecting at the time so I missed out originally but this was the first time since the original series the Thundercats were going to see new original stories in print...I picked them up later and when the chance came to own a cover came up, though not from the series but close, I jumped at it. Here you've got Lion-O, Lord of the Thundercats, and speedster Cheetara both done in the older 2002 McGuinness style - more cartoony and exaggerated, which matched well with the relaunch of the property. Nice art with a nostalgic touch. Thanks, Alex! Social/Sharing |

This is pure McGuinness magic! Love the look of these two characters, especially Cheetara.

Beautiful cover! I was the first owner of this cover, buying it from Mitch in the early 2000's. If you ever think of letting it go, not that I'd expect you to, I'd always be interested!

Wow, cool to know, Rich! I do have a couple of others who have inquired but will keep you in mind, too. I have to say, though, no immediate plans to move at this point cuz as you say...beautiful cover :) Thanks for the comment!

Fantastic cover! I gotta say, I really love the style McGuinness had during this period. Also, very cool to have a page of Wizard history, those were good times.
