Description

This is the cover to a special volume published by Disney Italia in 2003 meant to celebrate the 75 years of Mickey Mouse.
Illustrated by one of the greatest Italian Disney artists, Corrado Mastantuono, it's clearly a tribute to "Steamboat Willie", the cartoon where Mickey Mouse first appeared (1928).
Shading and textures are drawn on a tissue paper overlay.

Among the other reprints, one as illustration in Corrado Mastantuono's Disney d'Autore volume (2013) and for the Mastantuono Disney Masters volume (2023).

Corrado's Disney covers are always little gems! The framed picture of the "old" Mickey is truly a nice touch :)
