DescriptionFrom the finale of 'The 8 Deaths of Spider-Man'!Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. So, in order to battle a rogue scion of Cyttorak, Spider-Man has been imbued with the dark god's power. Behold... THE SPIDER-NAUGHT!!! In this half-splash, we see Spidey and Juggy gearing up for the ultimate Fast Ball Special (seen on the DPS immediately following this)!!! Back in the day, Ed McGuinness was known for drawing all of his characters kind of chunky. In the top half of this page, we see that he's grown as an artist and can draw lithe bodies. But in the bottom panel, he embraces his roots and draws two of the chunkiest, most dense characters ever. Spidey has had extra arms. He's been an actual spider; a lizard; and hell, even a Hulk. But *this* might be my favorite Spider-transformation yet! Social/Sharing |

This was such a ridiculously fun storyline and Ed's work on it was perfect. Love this page.

This story was over the top in and FUN. Great splashy page with Callix tearing things up and that double juggy action! The panel break in the bottom right is a great little touch too.

I love both Spidey and Juggs, but sometimes the idea of bringing two characters together just doesn't work, safe to say that's not the case here. McGuinness delivers in both character design and appearance with his take on Spidernaut. The best part about this page is that you get both nauts in the same panel! The diagonal two page layout works works great here as well. Congrats!
