Description

The original Shield was the first of many patriotic superheroes, making his debut in the pages of Pep Comics #1 nearly a full year before Captain America -- who quickly became the exemplar of the genre -- came onto the scene. Over the decades, several iterations of The Shield have appeared, as the concept has been revived and updated from time to time. Most recently, Archie Comics' Dark Circle imprint has featured a female version of the character, in the person of pistol-packing Victoria Adams. For this Common Elements scenario, Ale Garza depicts Victoria and Cap striking a classic pose.
