Description

This C. Michael Dudash painting is very likely the most well-known Casablanca artwork to modern audiences, having been created for the 50th anniversary edition of the film in 1992, and used continuously for 20 years until the 70th anniversary edition release in 2012 (at which time they reverted to using a simple B&W photo of Bogart and Bergman).

The image was used for the VHS, LaserDisc and DVD releases of the film, as well as for various promotional campaigns, including the U.S. Postal Service's marketing of its Ingrid Bergman stamp in 2015. It became "the" definitive image of the film that a generation of film lovers like myself grew up with.

Casablanca is, along with 1995's Before Sunrise, my favorite film of all-time, and I am thrilled to be able to own this iconic painting!
