DescriptionI was blown away by the artwork on Ariel Olivetti's Punisher War Journal (check it out if you haven't already). The richness of the colors and details and the style he brought to his run was really something unique and special. So, when the opportunity came up to work with Ariel on a piece....it had to be Punisher. So featured here, painted in a glorious golden brown color palette is the Punisher taking trophies from characters in his classic stories and from the stories in that War Journal run. The newly revamped Hate Monger, who began sporting a different costume during this run, Crossbones, Rhino (yes he took his horn too....great for male virility I hear), and Bullseye. Very happy with the results and a big shout out to Glen G. without whom I would not have been able to bring this piece home. Thanks!! Ariel graciously include his preliminary pencils for the piece, also featured in the additional photos. Social/Sharing |

Nice - I wish the Punisher would just add Jigsaw to the wall so we don't have to see him again! Nice piece to add to YOUR trophy wall.

Looks awesome! Wondering if its digital colors? Or actual paint and if so - what kind?

Maybe should have more animal themed villians. Scorpion, Vulture, Mongoose, and ones like that

I actually had Bob McLeod create two companion Kraven Trophy Walls using exactly your idea some years ago. One with "hero" animal themed character and one with "villain" themed ones. http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=175259

That's a ton of fun - unless you are on his wall. Congratulations.

The artwork is good, but that's not a very impressive Trophy Wall... it seems like they made sure to pick some of thy most lame forgotten characters in Marvel for the Punisher to beat and that whole WJ storyline was just awful.
