DescriptionMaybe because my Grandparents came from Sweden, I always loved Norse mythology. So I was a big fan of Thor and everything Asgardian. Here, Jazzy John Buscema, assisted by the fantastic Frank Giacoia, does a masterful job depicting the God of Thunder fighting off the hordes of Pluto alongside Hela, Goddess of Death. I love all the little details Buscema put in this cover--The menacing Trolls with their wicked weaponry, the penultimate scene of Hela battling Pluto, and the Viking long ships in the background. Maybe because Thor is my favorite Super God - or maybe because the scene set up by John B is so well done - this is my favorite cover that you have posted so far! Love it!

Buscema Thor is always a treat. His run on Thor for me, was the definitive version of the character, and even though i love the Simonson run, Buscema draws Thor like no oher.
