DescriptionThe Defenders battle the New Mutants (sort of)! Xavier's charges turn out to be a simulation created by the Secret Empire, but, still, this is a great Butch Guice cover to one of my favorite issues from my earliest days of reading comics. I started reading the title with the all-too-shortlived "New" Defenders revamp and it was a hell of a lot of fun! After #125* (the first "New" Defenders issue), the #129 cover is my favorite from the run, and I am thrilled to add it to my collection. Just a beautiful cover! I've always thought all the covers from the New Defenders run were really nice, and this one's no exception. A lot of them were pinup shots of the team, and are pretty, but the action on this one sets it apart for sure!
