DescriptionArthur Adams is so talented that every time he takes on a new project, he ups his game to new heights. His covers for the recent Secret Avengers series are, if anything, even more inspired than his earlier work. On cover after cover he demonstrated his ability to offer up new layouts and new takes on old characters. Despite the fact that he's been working in comics for over thirty years, he has yet to show any sign of slowing down. Check out this incredible cover for Secret Avengers #36, featuring Hawkeye single-handedly taking on a horde of Sentinels, Doombots and the Black Ant. It's another Arthur Adams tour-de-force.Social/Sharing |

Good heavens, Bill - I've spent days poring over your INCREDIBLY amazing collection, trying to accumulate enough superlatives to do justice to the amazing assemblage of comic history and talent you've put together, and I sincerely doubt I have enough... I don't know where to START, much less STOP... :) I guess I'll begin here.
I've always loved this cover, and thought it was an excellent example of so many things Arthur does so well; the layout, the insane level of detail, a sense of humor about the situation (the tidal wave of figures surging against Hawkeye and the pile of fizzled bots in the lower left corner), the passion for the work, and his use of blank space to propel a "cover narrative". He floods his work with so much gorgeous detail so reguarly that that when he leaves white space, it makes the whole thing explode. How could you see this cover and NOT buy the comic? I mean - you even bought the cover! :)
"Awesome pick up" doesn't quite cover this beauty (as accurate as that statement is). Wondrous!

I hope to tun into Art some day at a con. He's so great at crowds of characters, while still being detailed to the extreme

I like Art's style in this - and the "you'll put the title where I leave you space for it" attitude.
