DescriptionTo my mind, David Finch revitalized Moon Knight when he began drawing the title back in 2006. Every page he drew radiated a moody intensity that made the character feel mysterious and compelling. While I'm a huge fan of Finch's work on Batman, I have a special fondness for his time on Moon Knight. Even though he's now working for the competition, Marvel asked him to draw a variant cover for Moon Knight's 200th issue. IMHO, David's incredibly detailed pencils and inks for this issue brilliantly recapture the dark, brooding atmosphere that made his initial run so memorable.Thanks to David and Meredith for letting me add this piece to my collection. I was wondering where/when/if this cover would show up and I'm not surprised to see it land in your great collection. David was born to draw Moon Knight and he hit a home run on his return cover. Congrats Bill!

Agreed. Finch is a master and his Moon Knight was a revelation. In my early days of collecting I was outbid in the final seconds on eBay for his Moon Knight 1 Cover. Still licking my wounds. This is outstanding. Bravo!

I don't think there's another artist working who could give us a Moon Knight this gritty and raw.

This is the second time I have visited this cover since you posted. The first time I was just so mesmerized by it, I couldn't find the words. It is just such a glorious cover, magnificently drawn, and captures the character perfectly. David Finch rocks it so hard!

Not necessarily a fan of cross-hatching when it is an end and not a means, but in this case it is instrumental to adding to the noir feel of the character and the cover. Excellent!

Steven Platt caught my attention back in day with fantastic Moon Knight covers, but Finch takes it to another whole level with the mood that comes with the in your face art. Love Love Love this!
