For me, Adrian Smith is THE fantasy artist. From Warhammer to my favorite board games, he has created some of the most immersive fantasy art I've seen. His pieces always carry a certain weight to them that immediately places you at the scene. His worlds feel lived in, primal, and constantly on the cusp of conflict. Who better to depict the war torn universe of Warhammer?

I'm beyond thrilled to add yet another Adrian Smith Warhammer painting to my collection with Grandmaster Hans Leitdorf. While Hans Leitdorf is a known character in Warhammer lore, this particular piece was commissioned for the 2003 initial core set of WarCry, the Warhammer Fantasy Collectible Card Game. This is an incredibly memorable piece for me as the art is not only gorgeous, but the card was a prominent and rare foil in the original set. I can't get over the deep colors and amazing detail in this piece. It feels like it's straight out of a classic war film right before a stirring speech or climatic charge.

Enormous thanks to Luke Peterschmidt for parting with this piece. I highly encourage anyone else looking to add a Warhammer piece to their collection to check out his CAF gallery as he has dozens more of these for sale.
