DescriptionOpinions on Bernie Wrightson’s rare inks on Neal Adams pencils range from “dream team” to “dueling styles.”Personally, I really enjoy the combo, But Neal himself is said to have told Bernie he was better off going his own way. And that, I think, we can all agree upon. As for this great Green Lantern page from Adams legendary run? The top panel feels more Adams dominant to me, and in the cool final panel I see more of Bernie’s efforts. Your mileage may vary. (My pal Scott Dunbier is only a few pages away from having the complete story for the Neal Adams DC Artist's Edition --- that will be great!) Social/Sharing |

Beautiful work and I love the "Kaluta Co." brick in the top panel.

Great page Greg! Dueling styles, but genius can overlap as seen here truly. Superb and historic piece.

Kaloooota! Great bold art and page design by Neal! The Wrightson inks just adds to the horror theme of the zombie cult after them!

Awesome piece of history from two titans of comic art illustration. As a fan of both, this pairing works just fine for my eyes. Congrats on this great acquisition.

Magnificent page that captures the essence of what O'Neil and Adams aimed to capture from this historic run.

I am one of those that doesn't think this is a good team up for pencils and inks. Your assessment of the top and bottom panels per who inked what is in line with my thoughts. This is a nice page from one of the most iconic runs in DC History.
In the lightest pencils, in blackest ink, no panel shall escape my sight. Let those who worship Agams' might beware my talent… Berni Wrightson's might!”
