DescriptionDoctor Strange confronts Xemnu, the Living Titan, having uncovered his plot to hypnotise the children of Earth through starring in a television programme called the Astro-Nuts. On a twist of the device of getting the villain to reveal all before the serious combat begins, Strange probes Xemnu’s mind and we get the back story of his original attempt to conquer Earth (Journey into Mystery #62 and #66, True Believer) and his return to Earth in the body of an Astronaut – all delivered through Strange’s ‘spoken’ thoughts. Andru and Everett deliver a magnificently lively scene and the dynamic opening fight scene and beautifully inked second panel of Strange’s mental probe are particularly appealing.Social/Sharing |
