DescriptionWhen this cover came up for auction, I knew I just had to have it, because…… 1) I absolutely love anything to do with Spidey 2099 especially when he’s transplanted to the current Marvel timeline, 2) The visuals of this cover image are so cool and mysterious (what strange thing is happening to Spidey 2099?) and 3) I happen to own the cover to the previous issue (#18) which is the 1st part to this story and features a great mano a mano battle between Superior Spider-Man and Spidey 2099.I included a pic of the #18 and # 19 covers side by side in the same image. Check it out! The story in the issue is quite confusing. I just re-read it, and in a nutshell ... wha? But it involves temporal events, time gates, and tampering with the Fabric of Time and Space, which would explain the unraveling of Spidey 2099 on the cover. (Tampering with the Space/Time Continuum? Doc Brown would be so FURIOUS!!) Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

This page is making my brain unravel! I don't think I've seen another cover do something quite so visually mindbending! Awesome :)

Wow, he looks like a sculpture I once saw in Spain! What a cool effect. I don't know what's happening to him either but it looks great. I'm also happy that, after I posted quite a few X-Men Forever pieces that came from a confusing sounding series, you finally posted some art from a comic in which YOU have no idea what's going on!

Time webs come out your wrist, tells you it's time to go
Ock makes the best of this web, and grabs swing line
It's all aggression, came from twenty ninety nine
It's Spidey wormhole time travel
Trust in Stegman, Ryan
The holes you have takes time out your life
So take the cover art, and still frame Stegman lines
Hang it on a shelf for good wealth and good times
Comic art memories, of Doc Ock on trial
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while
It's cover with some time travel
But in the end, it's right

Wow! Now that's one visually captivating cover image! It took me a few minutes of scanning to fully understand what was happening and to process the incredible level of detail! Superior Spider-Man has a special place in the Spider-Verse and this is a great example from the title! Huge congrats!

Loved the art in this arc, including the interiors and of course the covers! Trippy fun on here with the time...shards?! Sounds good to me. Time shards cutting through our hero from the future! Congrats, Paul!
