Holy shit! Hah ha ha ha ha ha ha! This is a follow-up to the page preceding this one which I posted yesterday. I love how Clark just puts on his Grand Poobah of the Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes hat to hide his overgrown head, walks into work and addresses Lois and Jimmy like everything's normal. What a schmuck! He looks so utterly ridiculous that even Jimmy Olsen gets into the act and insults him in the third panel.

The Silver Age DC styled art in this issue is a really spectacular throwback to the simpler art styles and the sheer silliness in the writing that permeated DC for so many decades. Huge credit to Jerry Ordway, who is responsible for all the dialogue. He's always been a great artist, but who knew he had such a talent for scripting as well?

Oh wow, ha hahah--yeah that's classic. I love how when Lois exclaims how ridiculous it is and then turns to look at Perry, HE is wearing one of those hats too!! So fun to have those two sequential pages.

Couldn't agree more, Ruben! This is an awesome Grummett throwback page with great Ordway dialogue but, who in his right mind would expect anyone with half a brain to believe a goofy excuse like this from Clark?? Even with Perry wearing the same ridiculous hat! Somewhere, Mort Weisinger is smiling! Congrats on the great acquisition!
