Anderson's inks are obviously Anderson, but Howell's pencils come through especially in Hawkman's physique and wings. Social/Sharing |

Classic polish of Anderson for Hawkman with those soft inked feathers! They are on action images of new 80's styled art by Howell! Even Superman has the house style while breaking through panels.

Definitely blends 60's and 80's styles for the characters!

Howell's Hawkman was always nice but Anderson's inks really make it special.

Howell is probably my favorite Hawkman artist - partly because that series was current when I was most into comics in my teens. Fell in love with Murphy Anderson's (and Kubert's) take later. (And I remember buying this issue on the newstand - I don't think I really knew who Anderson was at the time, which seems bizarre now!)
