Definitely one of the top 2-3 Elementals pieces Willingham ever produced.

The first year of Elementals in their own title proved to be a smashing success and this was during that highly creative period of 1984 when indies and comics in general were super hot. Vortex, Morningstar, Fathom, and the big guy Monolith all representing aspects that the audience can identify with and embrace. Willingham's special cover for this interview further cemented how influential and inspirational his success had become. The art features the clean style and the fine details that exemplified the high quality of the series. The cover stands out even by today's standards.
