Description“Second-class... refurbished toaster...that all you...got?”This page features yet another pummeling of The Black Sinister himself, but the end result this time around leads to a much different conclusion. I shall say no more, I am not a spoiler. Top panel shows the damage taken in excellent detail, just look at those fingies! (There is a wonderful sequence of facial reactions shown on the previous page in this book.) Cut to the next, where we get a first person view of the behemoth about to rain down as a lone tooth and eyeball go flying off into the distance. The third panel shows one of the things that Troy Nixey can do best, and that is detailed facial expressions. Do you see this guy on the left?!?! I want a whole book about him! A resounding boom with blood closes off the page, and the reader is left to turn the page to find out what happens next. I highly recommend reading The Black Sinister if you have not. It's a great story with stand out art from Troy Nixey on every single page. Social/Sharing |

The mangled fingers make you squeamish already as you get ready for more disturbing and and more gut wrenching moments by Nixey's finely tuned impactful artwork.

He'll never use a cell phone again...I really like Nixey's raw, energetic style. I'm a big fan of stylized artists, and this looks like a great bizarre story. Totally agreed on his expressions. And those panels floated over a big, splashy image really adds to the cinematic moment of that last Massive Pummell. BOOM! Congrats!
