DescriptionNice golden age Atlas/Marvel crime page from the creator of The Joker and Robin from the story "Dragnet". The title of the comic seems a poor rip off of the more common phrase "Crime does not pay". Jerry shows off his draftsmanship and storytelling abilities. Lots of detail in that first panel and I really like the two close ups on panels 2 and 8. I also love the way Jerry broke up the top and bottom panels with the less busy panels in the middle connected by the sound effect.Social/Sharing |

Thanks Kavi. I thought this was a great representative of the period, genre and his work

Robinson's art takes you to a gangland time period we still romanticize through media. When all three types of cop cars are used, crime don't stand a chance!

I guess Crime Can't Win is more appropriate than I thought

Does it make you angry your gang is on the losing end?

The art is really quite wonderful. The time period is right up my alley, too. Great looking period vehicles and clothing!
