Bought this gorgeous piece of art during Comic Art LIVE. I haven't seen much art by Evan Cagle but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for him going forward.

It is like nothing I've ever seen. Mysterious, moody, cold, peaceful. Reminiscent of Wrightson, this will have a special place in my collection.

It's called "How Many Midnights?"

What Cagle is able to convey when all the lines are so focused and sharp is to achieve a crisp chilly atmosphere where nature dominates.

Reminds me of Wrightson's chapter plate work on Stephen King's Cycle of The Werewolf. Fantastic winter illustration!
