Description"You get slower as you get older"Ain't it the truth! The Dude stole his classic line from Garfield years later, but that's just like my opinion, man. I have a couple Garfield strips where Jon says something. Then silence from Garfield in the second panel. Then he delivers his line. Setup, pause, delivery. Perfection from my favorite fat cat. Ink and screentone over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 14" x 4". Slight toning, discolored shading film, with light smudging/handling wear. Social/Sharing |

I don't know, the pace of the strip seems to be the same as it was in the 80's. Jim Davis' classic 3 panels comedic beat pacing as always.

I had not even seen your comments, but as soon as I read the strip, the first thing that came to mind was The Dude (or, as some might call him, El Duderino)! Love this!
