DescriptionHere's a "doozie."ASM 96 kicked off a now-famous three-issue drug story. Amidst the story, the Green Goblin returns (seemingly from the dead). On this page, Spidey doesn't know yet that GG is back, but he's reminiscing about their old rivalry, the uncovering of each others' identities and GG's memory loss. The first panel of this page is the cover scene from ASM 39, the very first issue of ASM that John Romita worked on. This was obviously a story near and dear to Mr. Romita's heart to re-use that image here. John Romita is my favorite Spiderman artist, but Gil Kane was a worthy successor. This page was drawn by the two of them and it's a delight to see in person. I'm thrilled to add it to my collection. Social/Sharing |

With a panel that recreates one of the most famous covers in Spidey history!
And 14~count 'em~14 birds in the last panel!!!!! BIRDS!!!!!!

I think the Romita inks bring incredible texture and three-dimensionality to the figures - Astounding! Not to mention the content! Love that panel break, and Spidey swinging away to seal the deal. Stupendous.

Epic page from ASM history!! That first panel is enough reason to hold this page in high regards, but there's lots to LOVE in those other panels too.

Definetely a page like this should be in your neat collection. ASM under 100 pages are very hard and tough to find. This page is pure... a PURE ASM action example. A lot of checks!!!! All the panels have something special. It's difficult to beat panel one! but Spidey swinging over the city panels are all what a Romita Sr. fan can ask. Huge congrats!

Breahttaking page from Kane and Romita! How do you top those first two panels? Incredible scenes that live in the minds and hearts of Spider-Man readers everywhere! Plus you get two panels of Spidey swinging through the city--What more could anyone ask for!

Wow Fisch. I love your normal Galactic artwork posts, but if you were ever to post a page that would knock my socks off outside of that Genre, this would be one of them. Absolutely incredible. Collecting this comic was one of my earlier goals in collecting. A page from it most be stupendous. Congrats, Congrats, Congrats!

You really can see both Kane and Romita's contributions in this page. Pure classic stuff, man. Wow. Love that first panel homaging John Romita's cover to his first issue of ASM, and so much Spidey and GG goodness all the way to the last panel. Really everything you could want in a Spidey piece. Big congrats, Fisch!
