Description

My favorite 2 pages from this issue (possible exception being the Daredevil/Wolverine action shot that I have yet to track down).

Wolverine shaving with one claw in a glass shard mirror, while Bucky fidgets with the barber chair...All to unravel the mystery behind the death of Steve Rogers. The issue plays out like a classic detective story, and this image sets the tone. Leinil's Wolverine is second to none--check out the zigzag hatching on the arms...not to mention the atmosphere in the barbershop. He's able to add so much grit and texture with well-placed hatching. Delicious.

Truly some of the best cross-hatching ever, I particularly appreciate the also the reflection of Wolverine in the small shard of glass. This is definitely Yu's best period of work.

Fantastic that these crosshatches are kind of there to give the weathered character the place needs as a place that's not sanitized and worn down like our two protagonists who have been around the block a few times.
