I love this strip. These zip-a-tone dailies are not that common and the finesse with which the wash was applied is truly impressive. This one features Pat Ryan and Burma...I mean Scorchy and Jean Lafarge. I've added a scan of how this looked printed...does not do the wash justice.

It's a high quality content example, with Pat, Burma and Normandy included, but also a really lovely example of the minimalist nature of Sickles' approach, later copied by Caniff and influencing artists like Toth as well.

Fancy duo tone painted with a brush like a paining in 3 shades. The work on the hair is superior ink brushwork.
