DescriptionThis is a piece of original comic art by PETER BAGGE from HATE #30, page 1. Hate was the defining comic on what it was like to be a young, directionless Gen-X loser. Bagge perfectly captured the apathy and pathos of the time in his Hate series. This is a great 3/4 splash page from the final issue of this landmark series, featuring Hate stalwarts Buddy Bradly and Lisa Leavenworth with their old roommate Valerie. Filled to the brim with classic Bagge humor and art. Nice call-out to Kaz. Signed and dated by Bagge along the right of the page. Inks by Jim Blanchard.Social/Sharing |

I love his crazy style too. This issue even had some Kaz artwork as a bonus.

Love seeing Bagge art posted on CAF. I believe this is the last issue before it switched to an annual format.

A man on the street view to open the story to signal to the audience that this will be a grounded big city tale of the times. Bagge's Hate stories are a snapshot in time and there are those who still have the same mindset all these years later.

Great page. I especially like the huge 3/4 splash and the title lettering. Bagge has such a great font style.
