DescriptionSaturday morning cartoons meant everything to kids of my generation. It was our raison d'etre. Part of those heady days was the sugar rush from these kinds of cereals. Although I actually prefer Raisin Bran and Granola, I've still had more than my fair share of these marshmallowed cereals that left the milk in the bowl a very sweet and colorful dessert. I got into a bit of auction fever with these. What's better than a really great Count Chocula cel?...that is easy...4 Count Chocula cels!! Also featured Franken Berry and Boo Berry. I've since sold 2 and bought another. I had a background created for one of the cels. Now some fun facts! The two main cereals (Count Chocula and Franken Berry) launched in 1971 by General Mills. Boo Berry soon followed. Other less successful and later additions to this family include Fruit Bruit, Fruity Yummy Mummy and Caramella Creeper. In 1972 Franken Berry cereal contained a substance that was indigestible leading to pick poops referred to as Franken Berry stool. Fruit Bruit makes an appearance in both Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. The cereals have been in and out of production since 1971 and are again available today. Social/Sharing |

A great team up of cereal all stars! Breakfast for Saturday morning cartoons would have left the syrupy milk that was part of a well balanced breakfast!

I loved all 3 as a kid, and the commercials as well! Where I live, they only seem to appear for a short time around the Halloween season and then they're gone until the following Halloween.
