DescriptionElektraConvention Sketch Art by Scott Morse 2002 This 2002 convention sketch by Scott Morse is representative of Scott's unique avant-garde stylization of characters, and more specifically of his work on the 2002 4-issue mini series that he wrote and illustrated for Marvel Comics under the Marvel Knights imprint, called Elektra: Glimpse & Echo. I've only seen a handful of published pages from that book on CAF (5 interior pages and 1 prelim). The covers and interior pages are highly stylized and fully painted artworks (similar to Elektra: Assassin covers and pages by Bill Sienkiewicz, but a totally different style obviously). Unfortunately I missed out on one of those pages that sold on HA in Nov of 2022 for a decent price while I was on a buying break from the hobby, but you can check that page out in Mike Rice's gallery. A quick search of the title will lead you to the other examples on CAF I mentioned above as well if you're curious. This 23 year old convention sketch will have to do until I run into another page from the mini down the line as they seemingly don't come around too often! Social/Sharing |

Such a great stylized rendition of Elektra. If they ever do an animated Elektra series hopefully the reference Morse's work.

As I often say, I love a good quickie. Yeah, the color work he did in that mini-series is indeed reminiscent of the Elektra Assassin art, in spite of the completely different styles.

I really like this stylized version of Elektra. I'm gonna have to check out more of Scott Morse's work. Nice grab!

I haven't heard of the artist or the book. But as you said, they do have a very unique style! Will have to check them out. Thank you for sharing!

Was a big fan of Scott's Little Gray Man series and several of his other self published pieces. Neat to see him drawing one of my favorite subjects. Congrats!
