DescriptionMike Maihack is the writer/artist of the all-ages Cleopatra in Space which has now graduated into a TV series. However, he also dabbles in great little cartoons featuring Batgirl and Supergirl which are pure fun. If you click, here and look at the Additional Images you will see some of them. For Inktober, Mike did 31 BG/SG ink drawings that he put up for auction on eBay. Mine is called Hide. I really like his use of shadow and the obvious concern on BG's face. I found it quite moving. Here's the full set of portrait ones: ![]() By name (L-R, T->B) we have: Radio, Fancy, Teeth, Dune, Armor, Storm, Dizzy, Chef, Dig, Buddy, Hide (mine), Float, Ominous (another that I really like) Here's the full set of landscape ones: ![]() By name (L-R, T->B) we have: Fish, Wisp (I tried), Bulky, Blade, Rodent, Throw, Hope, Disgusting, Slippery, Outpost, Rocket, Trap, Coral, Sleep, Rip, Music, Shoes, Crawl Social/Sharing |

This was my favorite of all those i saw listed, very cool, and found the uncertainty and mood moving as well.

Mike was doing great pieces all month long. I've read the first Cleopatra book and need to settle down and read the remaining five books.

Congrats on getting one of these! Loved the ones where Mike played around with different styles, and Wisp was one my favorites as well. I missed out on that but did manage to get one of the humorous pieces (I miss the strips he used to do around the holidays).

My granddaughter age 6 reads a lot of scholastic series and I have been impressed with how good they are periodically reading one or two while taking care of her (she will take a break from playing games and other activities mid afternoon to just read and I get a chance to read other books she has) I'll add Cleopatra in Space to the list of books to track down. One interesting thing is that she and her frieds al lread graphic novels and comics but rarely anything from Marvel or DC (Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur being one exception) Part of thus maybe quality, part of it the fact that the books are designed as books notas packaged comics in story arcs and part maybe Schoalstic might be more focussed on reading levels.

These were all great but this one stood out. I almost bid on a few but held off. I fear I'm going to regret that as they are so well done. Congrats on picking this one up!
