DescriptionAt the time I bought this around 2011 before Tony's death, I hadn't read No Way Back but Tina had the art out and this was one of the pages that really moved me. I realized after reading it, this was the last page.Jonah Hex has made intermittent appearance in my superhero reading but I admit I never followed him like I did with superheroes. I remember him in Crisis of Infinite Earths when I was a kid and then recently, he showed when I started binging Legends of Tomorrow on CW. Seeing this piece, the last page of one of the last stories that Tony would draw brought it full circle for me - because I didn't he co-created Jonah Hex, such an iconic character in the DC universe! This last page is really beautiful for me - just a man on his horse, going into the stark white wintery wilderness, somewhat like Tony's spirit much like Jonah Hex - who pioneered many filipino artists coming to America and giving life to many characters and their stories. "I realized I had posted this sometime ago in my Lowry ( I forgot!) and this was what I wrote: I really enjoyed this graphic novel and it was like a love letter to the fans of Jonah Hex. I had the opportunity to acquire several pages from this graphic novel and really love this last page. There is something so peaceful and serene about the surroundings that contrast the outward appearance of Jonah. I met Tony and Tina a few years ago and enjoy picking up my art at local restaurants and just chatting with both of them. Such wonderful people and Tony is and always be a great legend in comics for me. Thanks Tony and Tina for this gorgeous page !!!" Social/Sharing |

Great write up. It's everything you could want in a Jonah Hex piece, and really beautiful art!

Absolutely beautiful. And somewhat deep to make Hex the picture of serenity.
