DescriptionWhile Colan/Everett Black Widow pages from Amazing Adventures #'s 3-5 are the ravening unbridled inextinguishable desire of my collecting hobby, I've also wanted a nice example of Everett's inks over Don Heck, Natasha's co-creator, for a while. It was a long strange trip to this page (spanning more than a year), but worthwhile over all. It helps that Bill Everett's inkwork always looks better in person than you expect. I've been underbidder (or Johnny-come-lately) on some other cool Heck/Everett Black Widow artwork in the past, so it's nice to finally have an example by this artist pairing. Social/Sharing |

Congratulations Drake on securing this stellar piece of Black Widow artwork. As mentioned, Bill Everett and Don Heck are both legendary artists, so I'd be thinking twice about EVER letting this one go !!!!

Truly amazing piece! I have been collecting sketches of Black Widow for some time now and was wanting to get at least one great page from Amazing Adventures but I see that it is already taken! Wow!

Very cool splash. Don Heck is criminally underrated. When he was on (and not being pressured by deadlines or "make it look more like Jack") he was a winner!

I am convinced that Don Heck drew some of the best looking women in comics. This is proof of that. Great title page.

Awesome splash that captures the Femme Fatale persona of the Black Window by these two masterful artists. Congrats Drake!

So much style! Great movement, too; and the car, abstract cityscape, and fluid figure all rock

Easily one of the most impressive Black Widow images I've ever seen! Pure magic! Congrats!

I would say this climbs a few steps on the "ravening unbridled inextinguishable desire" staircase, no?

What a page! The luscious curves of the Black Widow mirrored by the curves of the gleaming, powerful sports car. Heck and Everett are indeed G-ds of the medium, but I, for one, have to take my hat off to Jean Izzo for the kick-a** lettering in that title!
