Description"HERE COMES THE BIGGEST BOND OF ALL!" This one is a dream come true - the original Robert McGinnis painting used for one-quarter of the British advance quad poster for the James Bond film "Thunderball"! Getting a McGinnis 007 movie poster original is something I had long dreamed about, and I'm still pinching myself that I was able to acquire this one.Robert McGinnis (nobody does it better!); Sean Connery as Bond...James Bond ("What I did this evening was for queen and country. You don't think it gave me any pleasure, do you?"); Claudine Auger as Domino Derval (oh la la); Thunderball (my absolute favorite 007 film)...I'm both shaken and stirred! I discovered both the original Fleming 007 novels and the Bond films before I even picked up my first comic book, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that the series has had a profound influence on my life. Rare is the art purchase that has thrilled me as much as this one! The world may not be enough, but surely it doesn't get much better than this... Social/Sharing |

Congrats, Gene! This one hits all the right spots for those of us who grew up on 007.

That's just insane. It's like an image through a decoder ring image (didn't know it existed til I saw it here). Wow. Okay, leaving now. Sorry, back for another look. Wow.

Great story, great action, and the greatest Bond of all rendered beautifully!

As I'm sure you'll be aware, Thomas Nixdorf owns another 25% of the 4-image poster art. Yeah, hands-down my favourite James Bond movie, also. Congrats on a rare and highly sought-after piece of cinematic history ;)

Always an event when a Bond movie was on TV or a new one hit the theatres - did you have any of the Corgi cars?

1965 was the year I started comic collecting and saw my first Bond movie...much to the chagrin of my mom and dad who took me to see Thunderball at X-Mas and came away thinking it was TOO sexual and violent for my innocent ten year old mind. Little did they know that I loved the movie! The poster and all its parts left a lasting memory. Thx. for posting this piece of nostalgia.

Oh, ho-ho, boy! This is a gem!!!! I read every Ian Fleming Bond book and watched every pre-Daniel Craig movie. I haven't seen any of those. Congratulations!
