Description

On the left is Tempest, the short-lived superhero identity of the late Joshua Clay (who's more familiar under his own name). On the right is master mystic Dr. Jericho Drumm -- better known as Brother Voodoo -- summoning up some arcane magicks. In the middle is the baddest broad in the DC Universe, Amanda Waller. What "Common Element" brings these three noteworthy characters together?

Well, if you've got Joshua, Jericho, and The Wall, there's gotta be a battle... am I right?

Longtime Robotech and Elementals artist Mike Leeke shepherded this Biblical epic to fruition with aplomb (and a pencil).

Another CE triumph from the always-formidable mind of Michael Rankins, this time with the incomparable Mike Leeke on pencils. Love that spell-effect he drew coming from Brother Voodoo.

Credit for the "floaty skull thing" goes entirely to Mr. Leeke. What was especially cool was that Mike worked it in as a surprise in the finished pencils -- the skulls didn't appear in his prelim sketch. Bonus!
